Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the OutSME platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Effective Date: February 1, 2026 | Last Updated: February 2026
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and OutSME, a software-as-a-service platform operated by SidraStart W.L.L., a company registered in the State of Qatar ("OutSME," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the OutSME platform, including the website at outsme.com, all associated subdomains, mobile applications, APIs, and any services provided through the platform (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
These Terms are effective as of February 1, 2026. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on our website. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-platform notification at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Account Registration
To access the Services, you must create an account through our identity verification partner, KYCPort. KYCPort provides secure OAuth2-based authentication and identity verification services. By registering, you consent to the transmission of your identity information to KYCPort for the purposes of account creation, authentication, and ongoing identity verification.
During registration, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information as required by the registration process and KYCPort verification procedures.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials, including any passwords, tokens, or authentication codes.
- Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
- Immediately notify OutSME at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
OutSME reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during registration or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, false, outdated, or incomplete. We may also require additional identity verification at any time to maintain the security and integrity of the platform, particularly for Expert accounts that offer paid services to Clients.
You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with third parties, or transfer your account to another person without our prior written consent. Each account must represent a single individual or a single authorized business entity.
Expert Services
OutSME is a subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to enable independent consultants, coaches, advisors, and subject-matter experts ("Experts") to build, manage, and grow their consulting practices. The platform provides tools including, but not limited to:
- Professional profiles: Customizable public-facing profile pages showcasing your expertise, credentials, and service offerings.
- Scheduling and availability: Calendar management tools that allow Clients to book consultation sessions based on your set availability.
- Video consultations: Integrated high-definition video conferencing for real-time consultation sessions.
- Payment processing: Automated invoicing and payment collection through integrated payment gateways.
- Client management: Tools for managing client relationships, session histories, notes, and follow-ups.
- Analytics and reporting: Dashboard and reporting tools to track practice performance, revenue, and engagement.
OutSME acts solely as a technology platform provider. We do not employ Experts, nor do we control the content, quality, timing, or legality of the services they provide. Experts are independent professionals responsible for their own professional conduct, licensing, tax obligations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
OutSME does not guarantee any specific results, outcomes, or revenue from using the platform. The success of your consulting practice depends on numerous factors outside our control, including your expertise, effort, market conditions, and client satisfaction.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Services at any time, with reasonable notice to affected users. Subscription plans and their included features may be updated periodically.
Client Obligations
If you use the platform as a client seeking expert consultation services ("Client"), you agree to the following obligations:
- Respectful conduct: You will treat Experts and other platform users with professionalism and respect at all times. Harassment, abusive language, discrimination, or threatening behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.
- Accurate information: You will provide truthful and accurate information when booking consultations, including a clear description of the matter for which you seek advice, relevant background context, and any other information reasonably necessary for the Expert to prepare.
- Timely attendance: You will attend scheduled consultations on time. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must do so within the cancellation window specified by the Expert (typically at least 24 hours before the session). Failure to attend without prior cancellation ("no-show") may result in forfeiture of the session fee.
- Payment obligations: You will honor all payment commitments for booked services. You authorize OutSME and our payment processing partners to charge your designated payment method for all fees incurred.
- Confidentiality: You will not record, screenshot, or distribute the content of consultation sessions without the explicit written consent of the Expert.
- No circumvention: You will not attempt to engage Experts outside the OutSME platform to avoid service fees. Direct contact information exchanged during sessions is subject to platform policies, and systematic circumvention may result in account termination.
- Lawful use: You will not use the platform to seek advice for illegal activities or to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or any other unlawful purpose.
OutSME does not provide professional advice and is not a substitute for licensed professionals where required by law. Clients are responsible for independently evaluating the suitability and qualifications of any Expert before booking services, and for making their own decisions based on information received during consultations.
Payments and Billing
5.1 Currency and Payment Gateway
All prices displayed on the platform are denominated in Qatari Riyals (QAR) unless otherwise specified. Payment processing is handled through Noqoody, our authorized payment gateway partner. By making a payment on the platform, you agree to Noqoody's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms.
5.2 Subscription Fees (Experts)
Expert accounts are billed on a monthly subscription basis. Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle to your designated payment method. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly set forth in Section 7 (Cancellation and Refunds) of these Terms.
We may change subscription pricing with at least thirty (30) days' prior written notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
5.3 Consultation Fees (Clients)
Consultation fees are set by individual Experts and are clearly displayed at the time of booking. Payment is collected at the time of booking and held in escrow until the consultation is completed or the cancellation window has passed. Upon successful session completion, funds are released to the Expert, less any applicable platform service fees.
5.4 Platform Service Fees
OutSME may charge a platform service fee on transactions processed through the platform. The applicable fee rate will be clearly disclosed before you confirm any transaction. Service fees are non-refundable once a session has been completed.
5.5 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT) as required under the laws of the State of Qatar and any other jurisdiction where applicable. OutSME will add applicable taxes to invoices as required by law.
5.6 Failed Payments
If a payment fails due to insufficient funds, an expired card, or any other reason, we will notify you and attempt to process the payment again. If payment cannot be collected after three (3) attempts over a period of ten (10) days, your account may be downgraded or suspended until the outstanding balance is settled.
Intellectual Property
6.1 OutSME Platform
The OutSME platform, including all software, code, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, user interface elements, and other content created by OutSME (collectively, "Platform IP"), is the exclusive property of OutSME and its licensors. The Platform IP is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws of the State of Qatar and international treaties. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform IP except for the limited right to use the Services as expressly permitted under these Terms.
6.2 User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload, publish, or transmit through the platform ("User Content"), including profile information, consultation materials, documents, presentations, and any other materials. By uploading User Content, you grant OutSME a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, reproduce, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services.
This license terminates when you delete your User Content or close your account, except where your content has been shared with other users who have not also deleted it, or where retention is required for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining transaction records).
6.3 Expert Work Product
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between an Expert and a Client, all work product, advice, deliverables, and intellectual property created by an Expert during a consultation session remains the property of the Expert. OutSME claims no ownership over work product generated through consultations facilitated on the platform.
6.4 Restrictions
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Platform IP. You may not use the OutSME name, logo, or trademarks without prior written authorization. You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform.
Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Free Trial
New Expert accounts are eligible for a seven (7) day free trial period. During the trial, you have full access to the platform features included in your chosen subscription plan. No payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before the trial expires, your account will be downgraded to a limited free tier with restricted functionality.
7.2 Monthly Subscription Cancellation
Expert subscription plans are billed on a monthly basis, and you may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle -- you will continue to have access to paid features until your current period expires. No partial refunds are provided for the remaining days in a billing cycle after cancellation.
To cancel your subscription, navigate to Settings > Billing in your Expert dashboard, or contact our support team at [email protected].
7.3 Consultation Refunds (Clients)
Clients may request a refund for a scheduled consultation under the following conditions:
- Cancellation before the Expert's cancellation deadline: A full refund is issued if you cancel within the timeframe specified by the Expert (typically at least 24 hours before the session).
- Expert no-show: If the Expert fails to attend the scheduled session, you will receive a full refund automatically within five (5) business days.
- Technical failure: If a consultation cannot take place due to a platform-side technical failure verified by our support team, a full refund or session reschedule will be offered.
Refunds for completed consultations are not available except in cases of verified fraud or a material breach of the Expert's advertised service offering. Disputed charges should be reported to [email protected] within seven (7) days of the consultation date.
7.4 Account Termination by OutSME
OutSME reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abuse of the platform, or any other reason at our sole discretion. In the event of termination for cause, no refund of subscription fees or pending consultation payments will be provided.
Limitation of Liability
8.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUTSME DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
OutSME does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided through the platform, including Expert profiles, ratings, reviews, or consultation content.
8.2 Limitation of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OUTSME, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
OutSME's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to OutSME during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Qatari Riyals (QAR 100).
8.3 Third-Party Services
OutSME integrates with third-party services including KYCPort for identity verification and Noqoody for payment processing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
8.4 Expert-Client Disputes
OutSME is a platform provider and is not a party to any agreement between Experts and Clients. While we may offer dispute resolution assistance as a courtesy, we are not liable for disputes arising from the quality, accuracy, legality, or suitability of services provided by Experts to Clients through the platform.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar, sitting in Doha.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation. Either party may initiate this process by sending a written notice describing the nature of the dispute and the desired resolution to the other party. The parties shall attempt to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days of receipt of such notice.
If the dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiation, either party may submit the dispute to mediation administered by the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) in accordance with its mediation rules. If mediation is unsuccessful, either party may proceed to binding arbitration or litigation in the courts of the State of Qatar.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights or confidential information.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
